Tela 16 zrtava NATO napada su izvucena iz ruševina civilnih kuca u Surdulici,
medju kojima je jedanaestoro dece, starosti od pet do 12 godina, javlio
je dopisnik Tanjuga. Spasilacke ekipe su do sada izvukle zrtve NATO napada
iz dve kuce. NATO avijacija je ispalila 15 projektila na centar Surdulice
u utorak, na iskljucivo civilne objekte. Predsednik Skupštine opštine
Surdulica Miodrag Stoiljkovic je rekao da se strahuje da bilanas zrtava
nije konacan, jer treba da se uklone ruševine sa još 18 porušenih kuca.
U napadu NATO agresora na Surdulicu, koja ima 15.000 stanovnika, uništeno
je 50 stambenih objekata, a znatna oštecenja pretrpelo je više od 500
porodicnih kuca. Prema recima ocevidaca, najmanje 20 osoba je bilo u podrumu
u porodicnoj kuci Aleksandra Mirica u Zmaj Jovinoj ulici, koja je uništena
do temelja. Veliki broj zitelja Surdulice je zadobio lakše ili teze povrede,
a oko 20 je smešteno u lokalnu bolnicu.

town of Surdulica. The worst hit were the Cubrine Livade and Piskavica
suburbs. Surdulica city council head Miodrag Stoiljkovic said that he
feared that the death toll is not final because the ruins of another 18
totally demolished houses have yet to be searched. The NATO attack on
Surdulica, which has a population of 15,000, destroyed 50 apartment buildings
and considerably damaged more than 500 houses. Eyewitnesses said that
at least 20 members of the Miric family were in a shelter in the celler
of the totally razed house of Aleksandar Miric. Many of the Surdulica
inhabitants were wounded and 20 have been hospitalized.
